According to filmmaker Shuta Iwai "Created together with my older brother, snowboarder Kanato Iwai ROOM #101.2 was filmed within a tight three-week window after my brother returned from training in Minnesota. It’s raw, independent, and deeply personal. The idea began from a strong desire to document the local spots and scenery in our hometown that are disappearing due to demolition and depopulation.
More than just a street part, this piece captures a moment in time — changing architecture, fading environments, and my brother continuing to carve lines through places that may not exist much longer.
